What is FSLAN?
FSLAN is a LAN party and it stands for “Fort Smith LAN”. A LAN party is an event that brings PC gamers together to have fun, talk about hardware/software, and of course play games!
What games do you play?
By far the most played games at a LAN party are FPS’s (First Person Shooters) like: Unreal Tournament 3, Call of Duty 2, Battlefield 2, Call of Duty 4, America’s Army, Counter Strike Source, and Quake 3.
Does it cost anything?
Most of the time there is a cover charge of anywhere from $5-$20. This charge is usually used to pay for the room/building rental, prizes, food (sometimes), power cords, networking equipment, etc.
What do I need to bring?
You’ll need to bring a gaming PC, Games (Installed and up to date), money for the cover charge, a power strip, CAT5 cable, Snacks and a good attitude :-). Please download and print out our LAN Party Checklist to make sure you bring everything you need.
Can my computer run the games you play?
This is hard to say due to the large variations in game requirements and PC hardware. If you know your computer specs you can "Google" the game and see if it'll run it. If you run into a dead end, post on our forums and one of us will help you out.
Where is FSLAN held?
Our primary location is a large conference room at the Golden Living corporate office in Fort Smith AR. Click HERE for the location on Google maps. We do have smaller LAN parties at various locations. Check the Forums and Home page for small LAN announcements.
