Mass Effect 2

Anyone playing this?  I never tried the 1st one, but picked up a copy of this new one and I'm liking it.
Graphics are really nice and story seems pretty cool so far.  Combat system is good, but I've had a problem or two with bugs or glitches in the PC version.
I also got some beta keys for Battlefield Bad Company 2.  But I haven't tried it yet; it's taking forever to download.

While I've not yet picked up a copy of ME2, I did play the first one and it was awesome.  I've been waiting for this one.  Now I'm waiting for the price to go down.

I'm somethink like twenty hours thought this, and maaaan am I enjoying this.

As far as combat and things, I'm not sure I really like the streamlining that's been done to the system. I kind of dislike how infrequent new weapons are, but on the flip side it makes finding a new weapon a very significant event.

On the other hand, in story and characters, ME2>>ME. Even the characters that seem cliche' at first (like Jack, IMO) have a surprising amount of depth behind them, and even more once you do their loyalty quest.

Also, this makes me realize I don't really like Shepard all that much, even when I'm telling him what to say.

Quick time paragon/renegade dialog options are nice, but have a serious flaw in that they don't tell you what you're going to do.

And the game gets +20 points in my book for HAVING NO MAKO.

I lost my original ME1 save file, so last night I re-installed it so I can carry over my save file into ME2 and have something to do while I wait on a good deal!
